Mullen I-GO downtown

Mullen Automotive is an American start-up founded in 2014, builder of electric and thermal vehicles based in Brea, California. It recently announced the commercialization of a small car resembling an electric city carhowever, intended as an electric utility vehicle for professionals.

The Mullen I-GO is presented as a utility vehicle for urban last-mile deliveries, i.e. the final step in the delivery process to the customer. The big plus point is its more-than-affordable price, expected to be around €12,000 excluding tax! The price is not surprising when you consider that this electric car is made in China.

Its arrival in European countries

For the time being, only certain countries will benefit from this European commercialization: Germany, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland. Germany will be able to test this small electric utility vehicle from December 2022. Why has Mullen chosen to market the Mullen I-GO in Europe, to make last-mile deliveries more convenient? European cities are often made up of narrow streets that are difficult to navigate with a commercial vehicle.

The Renault Kangoo Van e-Tech is still practical enough for urban driving, but the length of the Renault electric is 4486 mm compared with 3380 mm for our electric van electric van.
