TheAnses (Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l'alimentation, de l'environnement et du travail) recommends a 20% to 25% reduction in urban road traffic to reduce vehicle-related air pollution. These efforts are to be coupled with an increase in the electrification of cars on the road in Île-de-France.
It was precisely to accelerate the electrification of vehicles on the road that regional aid was adopted in 2017.
The regional subsidy enables you to purchase a clean vehicle and benefit from a regional subsidy.
Please note: you must be careful with regional aid. The vehicle cannot be purchased before the grant is notified. You must apply for the grant before purchasing the vehicle.
This aid replaces the TP'UP scheme, which was limited to companies with fewer than 10 employees. This scheme was less successful, as it did not meet the needs of companies in the Paris region.
The purchase of an electric vehicle for a company is highly advantageous in this configuration, as it enables the company to replace its vehicle or fleet of vehicles, reducing its TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and improving its corporate image.

How much assistance is available for the purchase of an electric vehicle in Île-de-France?
Assistance for the purchase of an electric vehicle in Île-de-France can be combined with the ecological bonus and the conversion bonus.

Conversion bonus
The conversion bonus, a scheme to help replace an old vehicle with a less polluting one, has been extended to 2024. It aims to encourage the renewal of the vehicle fleet towards low-polluting vehicles, particularly electric and hydrogen-powered.
Conditions of eligibility
For individuals, the eligibility conditions are as follows:
- The household's reference tax income per unit is less than or equal to €22,983.
- The vehicle to be replaced must be destroyed at an approved center.
- The new vehicle must be classified Crit'Air 1 or 2.
For professionals, the eligibility conditions are as follows:
- The vehicle to be replaced must be destroyed at an approved center.
- The new vehicle must be classified Crit'Air 1 or 2.
Premium amounts
The amount of the conversion premium varies according to the type of vehicle and the household's reference tax income per unit.
Individuals
- Taxable income per unit less than or equal to €6,358 :
- 5,000 for the purchase of a new or used electric or hydrogen vehicle.
- 3,000 for the purchase of a new or used plug-in hybrid vehicle.
- Reference tax income per unit greater than or equal to €6,359 and less than or equal to €14,089 :
- 3,000 for the purchase of a new or used electric or hydrogen vehicle.
- 2,000 for the purchase of a new or used plug-in hybrid vehicle.
Professionals
- New electric or hydrogen vehicle :
- 2,500 for vehicles with a purchase price less than or equal to €50,000 incl. VAT.
- 1,000 for vehicles with a purchase price of over €50,000 (incl. VAT).
- New plug-in hybrid vehicle :
- 1,000 for vehicles with a purchase price less than or equal to €50,000 incl. VAT.
- 500 for vehicles with a purchase price of over €50,000 inc. tax.
Île-de-France region assistance for the purchase of clean two-wheelers
1,400 for two- or three-wheeled motor vehicles and electric quadricycles.
2,500 for motor vehicles with at least four wheels, of any weight.
Île-de-France region assistance for the purchase of clean vehicles
9,000 for trucks and tractors over 3.5 tonnes
6,000 for passenger cars, vans and specialized vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tonnes
6,000 for the purchase of a light electric, CNG or hydrogen vehicle
Good to know: electric vehicles with lead batteries are not eligible.
Who is eligible for assistance in purchasing an electric vehicle in the Paris Region?
Any company domiciled in the Paris Region can benefit from this aid, subject to a few conditions.
- The company must have fewer than 50 employees
- Annual sales under 10 million euros
The legal structures eligible to apply are as follows:
- Sole proprietorships (EI) or auto-entrepreneurship
- Sole proprietorship with limited liability (EIRL)
- SARL (limited liability company)
- SAS (simplified joint-stock company)
- Single-member company (EURL or SASU)
- Liberal professions
The beneficiary must undertake not to resell the vehicle within 2 years. For companies able to recruit a trainee, they must undertake to recruit - at least - one trainee as part of the Île-de-France region's 100,000 trainee placement plan of the Île-de-France region.
If you benefited from the aid when the reform obliged you not to resell your vehicle within 5 years, you should know that despite the reform, the deadline is not cancelled and you still have to wait the 5-year period. The new 2-year period is not retroactive.
New regional aids in Île-de-France available from October 1, 2021
The Île-de-France region has set up new aids for professionals and private individuals:
- Up to €6,000 for the purchase of a new or used electric, hybrid, NGV or hydrogen vehicle, for private individuals living in the inner suburbs of Paris, to replace their conventional vehicle.
- Up to 15,000 euros for very small businesses purchasing an electric or hydrogen-powered store truck to set up a mobile trade or craft business in rural communities in the Paris region.
In addition, the Île-de-France region offers assistance of up to €500 for the purchase of an electrically-assisted bicycle (VAE).
The aids described above can be combined, under certain conditions, with the following existing aids:
- Up to 2,500 euros for individuals and small businesses to retrofit their vehicles' internal combustion engines with electric or hydrogen motors.
- Up to 9,000 euros for small businesses and craftsmen, for the purchase of zero-emission vehicles for their professional activities.
As a reminder, an artisan is a professional who transforms a product or service according to his or her know-how, and who does not use mass production methods. You must also have fewer than 10 employees.
Example: if you are a bakery with 8 employees, you are considered a craftsman.
Crafts also include jewelers, carpenters, etc.

To apply, follow the steps below:
- The complete file for the purchase of an electric car must be submitted at Mes démarches no later than three months after the purchase of the vehicle.
- It is also possible to apply for post-purchase assistance.
- The quotation now appears directly on the order form to facilitate the process.
- Vehicle acquisition must be by purchase and not by lease in order to qualify for subsidies.
Regional assistance for the creation of a commercial or craft activity
The region would like to give more support to smaller structures.
As a result, the region has introduced new conditions aimed specifically at professionals starting up a new business in a more rural area.
The conditions are as follows:
- Be a small Ile-de-France company with no more than 50 employees
- Your annual sales do not exceed €10,000,000
- The company must have been in existence for more than one year
- The company must undertake to carry out at least one tour corresponding to 4 days a week in one or more rural communities. This must be done no later than six months following payment of the subsidy.
- The company's head office must be located in an Ile-de-France commune with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants, outside the Greater Paris metropolitan area, or in a rural Établissement public de coopération intercommunale(EPCI) whose head office is located outside the Paris urban area.
- Only expenditure incurred after the scheme came into force is eligible.
- The same natural person, the legal representative of several companies, can only apply for this regional scheme on behalf of a single company.
The maximum amount of aid that can be received is 15,000 euros, which can be combined with other aid.

Regional aid for the purchase of an electric vehicle in Île-de-France: how to apply?
Application process
For some time now, the procedure for accessing regional grants in Île-de-France has been changing. In the past, aid was based on the estimate made in the company's name. The region had to accept the application, then place the order with the dealer. Finally, you had to send in your vehicle registration document and the paid invoice, and you received the amount of the grant.
The steps involved are now less methodical. You must apply for assistance within 3 months of the date of purchase of the vehicle on the Mes Démarches website.
