Renault 4 Electric

Renault 4 electric

The Renault 4 Electric is due to be launched in 2025, in 2024. It is the modern reinvention of one of the brand's classics, the legendary 4L. This new version is in line with Renault's strategy of offering an environmentally-friendly solution for drivers concerned about their ecological impact.

In terms of design, it combines heritage and modernity. It's recognizable by its lines, hexagonal grille, iconic round headlights and Y-shaped taillights.

The manufacturer has already announced that two versions will be available, a classic version and an "adventure" version. This offers a variety of choices for future buyers.

In terms of technology, the Renault 4 Electric does not skimp on innovations:

  • 9.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment,
  • navigation system with online mapping,
  • full connectivity (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).

In terms of safety, it features advanced driver assistance systems such as automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.

Both versions will offer a choice of 125 hp or 150 hp, with battery options of 42 kWh or 52 kWh, giving a range of 300 to 420 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 to 9 seconds. The Renault 4 Electric, with its compact dimensions and rapid recharging, is perfect for urban and suburban driving.

The CMF-BEV platform gives it a range (WLTP) of up to 400 km. For the record, it is produced at the Maubeuge plant in France. The same applies to its latest-generation batteries. They use nickel, manganese and cobalt (NMW) technology.

The starting price for the electric city car is around €25,000 for the standard version and around €30,000 for the most powerful version.

Fiat Panda electric

The fourth generation of the electric Fiat Panda will be unveiled on July 11, 2024. The Italian electric car marks the 125ᵉ anniversary of the automaker with an innovative and modern approach. It is inspired by the Centoventi concept car presented in 2019 and promises to carry on the model's heritage.

The design is inspired by the lines and elements of the Panda, with a contemporary approach. The car is somewhere between a crossover and an MPV, reflecting a style that is at once "cool, popular and affordable".

Technically, it will be based on the Stellantis Group's CMP platform, like its competitors the Peugeot e-208 and Opel Corsa-e. This platform will enable the model to be equipped with a combustion, hybrid and electric option. The Panda will be larger in size, increasing in length to around 4 meters. It is positioned as a competitive alternative in its class.

Lancia Ypsilon electric

The Lancia Ypsilon is a milestone in Lancia's transformation. Its official launch is scheduled for February 2024, with sales scheduled for the summer.

In terms of technical performance, it boasts :

  • 156 hp engine,
  • 54 kWh battery,
  • a range of 400 km (WLTP cycle).

This ensures outstanding performance for urban and suburban use.

In terms of design, the Ypsilon boasts a body approximately 4 meters long. It features sweeping lines inspired by the Lancia Beta Montecarlo. Its aesthetics highlight the new Lancia logo. This brings a touch of modernity and freshness to the vehicle's silhouette.

It is therefore part of the Italian brand's strategy to reinvent its vehicle range, focusing on elegant designs and advanced performance.

Mini electric 2024

The Mini Electric, scheduled for May 2024, represents a step forward for the British brand. As a reminder, its ambition is to offer exclusively electric vehicles by 2030. The new-generation Mini is therefore a key element in this project.

This new generation will stand out with a brand new base called Spotlight EV, (developed in collaboration between BMW and Great Wall Motors). It will retain its iconic design, while incorporating sleeker elements such as a smaller nose and a more pronounced wheelbase. This will enable the vehicle to maintain its 3.80 m stature.

The Mini will be available in two versions:

  • the "E" with a 184 hp engine and 40 kWh battery,

  • the more powerful "SE" with 218 hp and a 54 kWh battery, capable of a range of around 390 km in the WLTP combined cycle.

Mini seems to be aiming for a premium positioning, with a starting price currently around 36,400 euros, and the price of the new generation is expected to remain under 40,000 euros.
