What electric cars are available for less than 200 euros a month?

Electric car minus 200 euros rental

Long-term leasing (LLD ) in France is a market that is attracting more and more households. In fact, more than one in 4 new car purchases in France is made via a leasing contract. One of the reasons why leasing is so popular with households is that it offers greater flexibility than a cash purchase. In fact, you can spread the payment over several months or even years.

However, despite the flexibility offered by leasing, it still represents a cost that can seem high for many households. That's why Beev has decided to list the electric cars available for less than 200 euros a month on a long-term lease. Are you ready? Let's get started!

Leasing electric cars for less than 200 euros a month

Volkswagen ID.3

Let's start with Volkswagen's compact car. Volkswagen's best-selling electric vehicle is also one of the most affordable. With a price tag of €159/month for the city version, the Volkswagen ID.3 has the potential to appeal to the widest possible audience. To reach this monthly payment, you'll need a 36-month contract covering a total of 30,000 km. And an initial deposit of €11,100, not including the BE(Bonus écologique) or the PC(prime à la conversion).

Nissan Leaf

One of the pioneers with its Leaf range, Nissan offers very affordable electric vehicles with excellent value for money.

Nissan continues to invest in electric vehicles, with a plan to invest over 15 billion euros over the next 5 years.

Returning to the Nissan Leaf, the Visia version with its 40 kWh battery is available for €139/month under full service leasing.

To qualify for this amount, you'll need a 49-month, 50,000 km contract and an initial deposit of €12,000, excluding BE and PC.

Kia e-Soul

The Kia e-Soul is one of the most affordable vehicles on this list. With monthly payments of €37/month over 25 months and a mileage limit of 20,000 km, Kia's urban SUV has a strong financial argument. This offer is available on the Active version of the vehicle, with 150 kW engine power and a 64 kWh battery. The downpayment is €13,500, excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium.

Kia Niro EV

Continuing the theme of Kia vehicles, the Kia Niro EV is also available at a very attractive price. The Active version with 150 kW engine power and 39 kW battery is available from €47/month on a full service leasing basis. The lease includes 25 monthly payments, a mileage limit of 20,000 km and a down payment of €13,500, excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium.

Lease an electric car

Hyundai Kona Electric

Another brand we've already mentioned on this list is Korea's Hyundai. The brand's first electric SUV is also offered at a very affordable price. The Hyundia Kona Electric can be leased for €139/month in its Intuitive version with a 39 kWh battery. The contract is for 37 months, with a mileage limit of 30,000 kilometers and a down payment of €11,100, excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium.

Dacia Spring

The first "low-cost" electric car was bound to feature in this ranking. Dacia's 4-seater is available from €89 per month for 49 months on a long-term leasing contract, with mileage limited to 40,000 km. The contract includes an initial rental of €7,195, which is reduced to €0 after deduction of 27% of the purchase price thanks to the ecological bonus and the €2,500 conversion bonus.

Peugeot e-2008

Peugeot enters the ranking with its compact electric SUV. Priced at €36,900 for a cash purchase, the Peugeot e-2008 is available for lease from €189/month in its Active version. With an initial deposit of €10,370, excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium, this contract comes with 49 monthly payments and a limited number of kilometers (40,000).

Peugeot e-208

The second Peugeot car in this ranking is none other than the Peugeot e-208. The city version of the Peugeot e-2008 is even more affordable than the SUV. With a leasing price of €179/month for the Style version, Peugeot's city car, launched in January 2020, is very affordable indeed. The contract comprises 49 monthly payments for 40,000 kilometers.

As always, the first rent is set at €9,250, excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium, which will be deducted.

Until December 31, 2022, discover several electric vehicle models available for delivery before Christmas!

Renault Twingo ZE

The first Renault vehicle to appear in this ranking, the Renault Twingo ZE is one of the least expensive vehicles. Available at the same price as the Dacia Spring, the Renault Twingo ZE has far fewer monthly payments than the Dacia Spring, at €89/month in Life trim. This contract contains 37 monthly payments, with a mileage limit of 22,500 km, and a first rental charge of €7,803, still excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium. After deduction of bonuses, your first down payment is reduced to €0.

Renault Zoe E-Tech

The big sister of the Twingo ZE, launched a year later, also features in this ranking, at €169 per month for the R110 life version. It comes with a contract comprising 36 monthly instalments, plus an initial rental charge of €9,200 excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium, and a mileage limit of 30,000 km.

Fiat 500e

The famous Fiat 500 also has an electric version. With a 23.8 kW motor in its basic version, it's available from €129/month for 37 months and 30,000 kilometers. You'll have to pay an estimated €9,115 first rental charge, excluding the ecological bonus and conversion premium.

  • Your reference tax income is below €18,000: ¾ of French people are eligible
  • You own a petrol vehicle built before 2006 and a diesel vehicle built before 2011.

This aid can amount to up to €5,000 for the purchase of an electric vehicle.

What are the amounts of the exceptional conversion premium?

Which vehicles are eligible for the exceptional conversion bonus?

Is retrofitting eligible for the exceptional conversion bonus?

Yes, retrofitting is eligible for the exceptional conversion bonus. The conversion of an internal combustion engine into an electric motor, known as " electric retrofit ", is eligible for the conversion premium in the same way as the purchase of a used electric vehicle.
