ZE Ready - Definition
ZE Ready is a protocol set up by Renault (with Nissan and Mitsushibi). It is designed to ensure the consistent implementation of internationally accepted standards for compatibility between electric vehicles andrecharging infrastructure.
What is the objective behind the ZE Ready standard?
By applying existing regulations and drawing on existing standards, ZE Ready aims to control the entire charging chain, from the design and installation of the charging station to the installation of training, preliminary audits, any compliance work and advice.
If you drive a Renault, for example, and the Wallbox you individually installed for your electric vehicle isn't working properly, then it won't be checked. But if you're covered by ZE Ready, and the company has installed your charging infrastructure or Wallbox, then it's covered.
Schneider Electric, a French multinational founded in 1836 as Schneider et Cie has obtained Renault's ZE Ready certification for its EVlink range of electric vehicle charging infrastructures.
