What is a recharging point?

A charging point is a fixed device connected to a switchboard (or a power socket), which is used to recharge the battery. battery a electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle. A charging point may have one or more charging points, with a mobile plug at the end. This socket must be connected to the vehicle's charging base, so that the battery can be recharged.

How much does a charging point cost?

On average, for a charging point for companies, the price is proportional to the number of charge points and depends on the structure of the car park.

The average cost of two charge points in a car park that is not pre-equipped is €10,000 if civil engineering is involved. Depending on your activity, you may be able to reclaim VAT and apply for regional or ADVENIR subsidies. As an indication, a fast charging point is more expensive. You'll also need to take into account the cost of installation (including the number of terminals, their wattage, roadworks and the distance between the electricity meter and the terminal), as well as the contracts (supervision and maintenance) that you'll need to sign up to, in order to access Advenir assistance.

Would you like to install a recharging point?

Financial benefits

For a business to be healthy, it needs to know how to manage its costs. That's why it's worth investing in the installation of recharging points and take advantage of grants and subsidies while they're still available!

Making savings

The ADVENIR programme is a funding programme to support the installation of charging points for electric vehicles. The scheme, which has been extended to 2025 with a budget of €320 million, uses incentives to finance the extension of charging infrastructure. It has been extended to businesses, with the power limit for charging stations limited to 22 kW.

To benefit from this programme, certain conditions must be met:

  • choose a certified installer,
  • call in a certified electrician IRVE,
  • comply with the specifications for each type of installation.

Hire terminals

If you're an SME or VSE, cash flow management is certainly a major issue. Leasing allows you to control your working capital requirements and spread out the monthly payments in the same way as leasing.

Beev has exclusive offers forhire of recharging points:

  • LOA (lease with purchase option),
  • long-term leasing.

The hire of recharging points is aimed at private companies for an amount in excess of €5,000 excluding VAT and subject to validation by a financial organisation.

Whichever type of leasing you choose, you will be a lessee of the terminals, with monthly instalments to be paid over a pre-determined period (36, 48 or 60 months). However, it's worth noting that when you lease, you also benefit from assistance and maintenance services.

For the fitting and installation of company charging pointsIf you're not sure what to do, you'll need to get in touch with a professional in the field. You can call on approved IRVE installers.

Encouraging employees to make the energy transition

Increasingly, ecological considerations are a major factor in people's decision-making. This is why the installation of recharging points represents a considerable opportunity for your company.Imagine that your customers or employees want to take their car to work.electric car without worrying about its load. An employee who works for a company that cares about the environment will be more loyal to that company. According to a study by EVBOX2 out of 3 electric car drivers would like to see charging points installed at their place of work.

NOTES FROM 1ᵉʳ JANUARY 2025, FREE CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES AT WORK WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE TO EMPLOYEES.

In order to offer your employees high-performance recharging solutions, Beev offers you its supervision system.

The supervision system

Firstly, you need to know that to benefit from the ADVENIR grant, you need to adopt a supervision and maintenance system.

To make things easier for you, Beev offers you a maintenance contract including :

  • 24/7 assistance
  • Troubleshooting Hotline
  • an annual visit to the charging points.

You will also have access to supervision which includes:

  • an RFID identification card
  • instant payment by bank card
  • supervision software
  • integrated 3G communication.

As a result, your infrastructure is constantly maintained and monitored, to the benefit of your staff and your customers.

They will have access to charging points that are always operational. By choosing to work with a qualified installerThanks to this contract, any problems your charging points may encounter will be the responsibility of your installer.

Generating additional income

A charging point can have several uses. It can be used by customers in a hotel or restaurant who come to take advantage of the company's products and services, or by employees who wish to recharge their car at work. In this case, the company can decide who pays for recharging and who does not. It's now possible to combine eco-responsibility and profitability! Find out how installing charging points in your business can become a lucrative investment.

Recharging is chargeable

If your activity involves an ERP (establishment that receives the public), it will be appropriate for you to monetise recharging. There are two options:

  • a general strategy, where the service is paid for by anyone who charges at your charging points.
  • a stratified strategy, i.e. paying for the public but free for your customers.

When it comes to invoicing, you can choose from a range of tariffs:

  • Consumption per time / kWh
  • Fee for unlocking the terminal
  • Car park access charge

Depending on the flow of vehicles, it will be possible for your company to earn income and make a return on its investment thanks to the supervision system described above.

What's more, you'll be listed on sites such as ChargeMapIt's about people driving electric cars seeing your charging points and being more likely to come and use your goods and services while they're charging. It also means a means of differentiating yourself from your competitors.

Don't hesitate to consult our white paper for more details on financing your project !

Benefit from Beev advantages

Last but not least, there's the added benefit of being able to manage your accounts. By taking advantage of the solutions (LOA or LLD) offered by Beev, you can manage your pre-tax profits. In fact, you can reduce your net profit before tax by recording the terminal rent as an expense.

As a result, you'll pay less tax and reduce your risk of debt. You'll find it easier to borrow in the future, while gaining greater accounting flexibility.

For all companies, brand awareness is essential. What if we told you that by installing charging stations for electric vehicles this could grow?

Consolidating your CSR policy

Thanks to your supervision system, you can collect the data contained in your charging stations. This information will enable you to improve your CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy. You will have access to the data protection regulationYou'll also be able to use the CO2 savings and kWh usage figures to communicate your strategy. This feedback can also be used for your future tax returns.

From the PACTE ActUnder the terms of the CSR Reporting Directive of 22 May 2019, all companies listed on the stock exchange or with more than 500 employees and sales of more than €100 million are required to provide an annual CSR report.

Although this does not apply to SMEs and VSEs, it is strongly recommended that you provide it to your stakeholders. This will demonstrate your commitment to CSR to your employees and customers.
