Kia e-Soul : Design
To differentiate itself from other electric cars, Kia wanted to enhance the e Soul's personalization and design.
With its clean lines and atypical silhouette, you can personalize the exterior of your vehicle by choosing from a vast palette of exterior colors, including 3 solid shades and 5 two-tone combinations.
The e Soul features two LED headlamps on the front. There are also wraparound LED taillights, giving a futuristic touch to this new-generation car.
Last but not least, a protective aluminum finish recalls the sturdiness and dynamism of SUVs.
The interior also features adjustable mood lighting and an exceptional sound experience thanks to the Harman Kardon sound system.
Kia e-Soul : Performance
Playful, refined and eco-responsible. The 2020 Kia e soul features the responsiveness of electric motors. The Kia e soul accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, and from 30 to 70 km/h in just 2.8 seconds!
The new Kia e Soul is also equipped with a driving mode selector. Depending on your environment and driving style, you'll find Normal mode for an optimized driving experience, Eco and Eco+ modes to maximizerange. And last but not least, Sport mode for enhanced responsiveness and dynamism.
What's more, the Kia e Soul features the new UVO connect system, at no extra cost and with a 7-year service subscription.
This system allows you to integrate the charging points available on your routes, monitor the battery charge and program the charging time using your smartphone.
And last but not least, the Kia e Soul is equipped with a 10.25 high-definition LCD screen, the same one found on the Kia Niro EV, from the Active trim level upwards, which makes this vehicle's navigation system even more robust.
When it comes to configuration options, the Kia Niro EV has a lot in common with the E soul. In fact, the E soul is offered in two technical configurations:
- Firstly, the 39.2 kWh battery, coupled to a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor.
- Then there's the second, with a 64 kWh battery coupled to a 150 kW (200 hp) electric motor.
To manage driving information and the battery. In Premium trim, Kia offers a head-up display to minimize driver distraction, using a motorized retractable screen on top of the dashboard.
Autonomy and recharging
This is certainly one of the strong points of SUVs on the electric market, since you can benefit from a remarkable range of 452 km in the WLTP combined cycle, and you can even reach 648 km in the WLTP urban cycle (for the Kia e Soul with the 64 kWh battery). This means that the Kia e Soul can be envisaged as an everyday vehicle for both short and long journeys.
Under the passenger compartment is the lithium-ion polymer battery, which benefits from Kia's exclusive manufacturer's warranty (7 years or 150,00km). The battery is available in two versatile, energy-efficient versions: 64 kWh and 39.2 kWh, giving a WLTP range of 277 km.
The regenerative braking system ensures optimum battery performance.
How does it work? Every time you slow down, regenerative braking captures some of the energy and sends it back to the battery.
When it comes to recharging, the new Kia e Soul is equipped with a Combo 2 socket (CCS), a European standard, which ensures all types of charge (slow, accelerated and fast).
What's more, it comes with a standard charging box, compatible with a household socket (12A) and a T2-T2 cable for access to charging stations.
The kia e Soul is also optimized for fast charging. In fact, it takes just 15 minutes to recover 100 km of range on a DC 100 kW fast charging station, and 2.5 hours on a 7.4 kW AC charging station (domestic socket).
