What does the new electric Megane look like?
Before getting to the heart of the matter, namely the vehicle's technical capabilities, let's talk about its styling.
At the front, the LED headlights take on a dynamic shape. This gives the car a very modern look. Renault has also inlaid a new light signature below the headlights, in the shape of a Z.
The car is 4.21 m long, 14 cm shorter than the current Megane. But despite this, it retains greater habitability thanks to a longer wheelbase than previous generations.
The new Renault Megane E-Tech electric has a height of 1.50 m and a load volume of 440 liters in the trunk.
It also boasts ample storage space, especially at the front, an advantage of electric cars with engines that take up less space.
Renault makes it clear that it's a sedan, but the electric Megane has a strong SUV look thanks to the body protectors. These are positioned around the front and rear tires, and on the door sills.
The new electric Megane from Renault also features retractable door handles, also known as flush-fitting handles, for enhanced aerodynamics thanks to reduced air resistance. This also makes for smoother car visuals. As for the car's interior, we've already mentioned the fact that it has good habitability, another thing to remember with the new electric vehicle from RenaultThe interior can be fitted with alcantara or wood inserts, a major innovation for the manufacturer.
It's also possible to adjust the brightness both inside and outside the vehicle, so you can tailor the ambience to your personal taste. In terms of ergonomics and space, the Renault Megane E-tech has a completely flat floor. There's 209 mm of rear legroom and 33 liters of storage space.
The wider structure, coupled with the new openR dashboard, also frees up space.
In terms of modularity, the Megane electric is equipped with an induction charger at the front, a USB-C socket at the rear, a central storage compartment and 33 liters of central and side storage space.

Technologies integrated into the new Renault Megane Electric
The Megane E-Tech is packed with new technologies. These include Level 2 autonomous driving assistance, which centers the vehicle on the road if necessary.
It features a 24-inch screen, capable of connecting to a smartphone without the need for a USB cable, so that the smartphone screen can be projected onto the vehicle's on-board display.
The interface is fairly simple to use: this one works with Android automotive, an interface that works with Google. The screen is fairly fluid, a clear improvement on previous models.
Overall, Renault's new electric Mégane is a jewel of connectivity. It will be a pleasure to handle for all those who love new technologies.

Megane E-Tech technical specifications
Now we can get to the heart of the matter, and see what's inside the new electric Megane. electric Megane from Renault. First of all, it has a 160 kWh motor, the equivalent of 218 hp for a combustion engine.
Its battery has a usable capacity of 60 kW, giving it a range of 500 km. It is also equipped with a CCS 2 combo-compatible fast-charging socket.
As for fast charging, it is capable of delivering up to 130 kW, enabling it to recharge to 80% in just half an hour. As an option, however, the Megane E-Tech can also be recharged to 22kW on alternating current, i.e. for home recharging.
Renault's aim was to achieve very low fuel consumption, while maximizing aerodynamics with flush-mounted door handles, and also with a roof featuring a sleek, low-slung design that maximizes aerodynamics.
In other exciting news, the Megane E-Tech accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 7 seconds.

The price of the Renault Megane electric
Finally, of course, we must mention the price Renault has reserved for its new toy.
For the moment, Renault has not officially announced a fixed price.
But we can expect a price of around 30,000 euros, or in any case, a price below the 35,000 euros of the Volkswagen 3DI, its main competitor.
All in all, the Megane E-tech will be very competitively priced.
