Hyundai IONIQ 6
Hyundai will be offering an all-new sedan in 2023: the Hyundai Ioniq 6. According to the manufacturer's news, the 100% electric sedan will have a 77.4 kWh battery with a range of 610 km on a single charge. Speaking of recharging, this sedan will be able to rapidly charge this electric vehicle from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.
What's more, to optimize vehicle use and comfort, the IONIQ 6 is fitted with the latest equipment to delight motorists. Already present in the IONIQ 5 and the Kia EV6the IONIQ 6 also features V2L. This feature, which strengthens the electromobility ecosystem, allows charging in both directions: from the charging station to the electric vehicle, and from the vehicle to the outside world. In other words, the IONIQ 6 acts as an intermediary between the charging station and other electrical appliances, to power DIY tools or a refrigerator, for example.
Price and release date have not yet been announced, but we'll know in the coming months.
Volkswagen ID.Aero
This ranking continues with a new electric sedan offered by the German brand to follow the ID range: the ID.Aero, also known as the ID.7.
The automaker's first electric sedan was unveiled at the end of June 2022. The 5-meter-long ID.Aero is expected to make its European debut in the 2nd half of 2023.
With the appearance of a Tesla Model 3this future electric sedan is sure to rival Elon Musk's Polestar 2.
Peugeot e-308
For 2023, the French brand Peugeot will offer its 308 in an electric version: the e-308. This compact electric car is expected to feature a 54 kWh battery and 156 hp. As for pricing, it's still too early to say. The performance of this future car will be superior to that of the e-208 or the e-2008.
Release is scheduled for summer 2023 in July.
Citroën ë-C3 and the ë-C3 Aircross
Like all other brands, Citroën is expanding its catalog to include 100% electric vehicles. In fact, by 2023, the Citroën brand intends to electrify 2 of its best-selling models: the C3 and C3 Aircross.
On the more technical side, this electric vehicle is expected to feature a 50 kWh battery, 100 kW for 136 hp and a range of around 350 km.
Pricing has yet to be announced. However, it is likely to be affordable, offering a lower price than theOpel Corsa-e and the Peugeot e-208.
To ensure that these 2 cars are as functional as possible, the brand will probably equip them with its e-CMP electric platform.
Opel Astra-e
As the brand looks to electrify its electric vehicles by 2028, Opel will introduce the 6th generation of the 100% electric Opel Astra in 2023, complementing the two plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, already available in 180 hp and 225 hp.
For the moment, the automaker has given no indication of the technical characteristics of this future electric car. What we do know is that it is based on the EMP2 platform.

Porsche Macan
It's also the Porsche Macan's turn to switch from internal combustion to electric power. Launched in 2014, this compact SUV will also be available in a 100% electric version in 2023. Thanks to the partnership between Porsche and Audi, the electric SUV will have a completely different architecture, with the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) providing new features, including :
- air suspension
- rear-wheel steering
- 350 kW fast-charging capability
As far as power is concerned, there's little information yet. But according to Porsche, maximum power could reach 700 hp (525 kilowatts). With such a performance, the Porsche Macan could surpass that of the Cayenne Turbo GT, offering 640 hp and 471 kW.
While Porsche plans to stop selling the combustion version, the brand will continue to offer it for around 1 year, giving motorists time to make the energy transition.
Tesla Cybertruck
You've probably heard of or seen this spaceship-like car. It is indeed the Tesla Cybertruck.
As a reminder, this unique model from the Tesla brand was due to be released during 2019, then postponed for the following year.
After repeatedly postponing the release date, Tesla's CEO announced the Cybertruck for summer 2023 on July 21, 2022.
As for the technical side of the car, nothing is 100% certain yet, but Elon Musk will be offering 3 versions of this model with a range of up to 800 km. What's more, the Cybertruck will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.
What's special about this vehicle is that it won't have a door handle. According to Elon Musk, the Cybertruck will open and close automatically when the vehicle recognizes the driver.
Smart #1
In April 2022, the very first electric SUV from the Smart brand was unveiled: the Smart #1.
This Smart #1 offers a 200 kW electric motor located at the rear of the vehicle, with 272 hp. The battery pack provides 66 kWh of capacity and between 420 and 440 km according to the WLTP cycle. In terms of dimensions, the SUV weighs 1,820 kg unladen, considerably heavier than the Smart Fortwo.
For AC charging, the Smart #1 would have a maximum charge of 22 kW, so could go from 0 to 100% in around 3 hours. For rapid recharging, the SUV could have a maximum DC charge of 150 kW. So, from 10% to 80%, the electric vehicle could recharge in less than 30 minutes.
Produced in China, the first sales are scheduled for early 2023, with pre-orders starting in September 2022. For the moment, the price of this electric SUV has not yet been announced, but 3 finishes will be presented:
- Pro range (entry-level)
- Premium range
- Launch Edition
Sono Sion: a major innovation due in 2023
Also new for 2023 is a brand-new, innovative electric and solar-powered car: the Sono Sion minivan.
What makes it special is that the vehicle is largely fitted with solar panels around the body. According to the vehicle's manufacturer, this will enable it to gain an additional 112 km per week, all thanks to solar energy. What's more, in the event of bad weather, thanks to its 54 kWh battery and 305 km range, the vehicle will still be able to run.
While the vehicle has already received 19,000 reservations, there are still a few stages to go before it goes to market, such as the crash test stage. As for the price, it will be set at around 25,000 euros.
Fiat 600
Largely inherited from the technical characteristics of the Peugeot e-2008, another well-known electric SUV model, this brand-new urban SUV developed by the Italian manufacturer is likely to be christened the Fiat 600, although this name has not yet been made official.
This future Fiat electric SUV model will thus take the form of a B-segment city SUV, retaining compact and versatile dimensions suitable for city driving.
In terms of specific features, the future Fiat 600 100% electric will be equipped with a 136 hp electric motor and a range of up to 400 km.
As for its launch date, the Fiat 600 should be available at the end of 2023.

Year after year, manufacturers continue to innovate and offer motorists electric vehicles that meet their expectations, with the aim of becoming 100% electric brands in the near future.
