1. Honda e:Ny1

The year 2023 promises to be rich in new features for Honda electric cars, Indeed, the Japanese brand is aiming to release several models next year, including the Honda e:Ny1 electric.

3. Toyota BZ4x

Well established in the field of car electrification, Japan's Japanese electric car manufacturer had never marketed a 100% electric car.

Fans of the brand will now be able to discover the Toyota BZ4x electric which combines performance with its 204 hp engine and 513 km range, with a host of new technologies:

  • the 8" to 12" touchscreen, depending on the model chosen,
  • Toyota's latest system for synchronizing multiple mobile devices simultaneously (Android/iOS system),
  • a top-of-the-range 9-speaker JBL sound system with Toyota Drive Connect, offering excellent audio quality,
  • an all-new blind spot monitoring system to ensure the safety of the driver, other motorists and pedestrians.

And good news for the more creative among you: with over 10 colors to choose from, you're spoilt for choice!

4. Nissan Sakura

For 2023, Nissan launches the Nissan Sakura electric. This small, compact model is one of Japan's electric minicars. electric minicars.

Having trouble parking downtown? Don't worry, its small dimensions of 3.4 m long, 1.6 m high and 1.5 m wide will make parking and moving around a breeze.

This all-new system offers a host of features to make navigation easier, thanks to its nine-inch screen whose wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay automatically synchronizes with its device.

ProPILOT driver assistance technology, which enables smooth, autonomous driving with a range of assistants to reduce stress and fatigue:

  • traffic jam assistant, 
  • lane-keeping assistance 
  • a prevention tool for crossing safety lines

Recharging time for the Nissan Sakura varies from 40 minutes for a fast charge to 8 hours for a standard charge.

3 models are currently available:

  • the basic model S 
  • G and X models equipped with LED 3 rear lights 

The Nissan Sakura features a 20 kWh battery with a range of up to 180 km. 

Exclusively intended for the Japanese market, they are available at a list price of €16,000 for the S model, €17,000 for the X model and €20,000 for the G model.

5. Mitsubishi EK-X EV

After the Mitsubishi I-MEV, launched several years ago, the Japanese brand is finally launching its second vehicle, the Mitsubishi EK-X EV electric. This small, compact car is perfectly suited to urban areas and small roads.

It shares many of the same features as its close cousin, the Nissan Sakura, whether on the more technical side with its 20 kWh battery, a range close to 180 km or a speed of 130 km/h. Mitsubishi EK-X-EV is therefore positioned as one of its main rivals, not only in terms of price (around €17,000) but also in terms of dimensions (3.40 m long, 1.48 m wide and 2 m high).

Despite its low price, this electric vehicle is equipped with its own system (MI Pilot) allowing :

  • parking management 
  • staying on track
  • speed regulation

Its impressive maneuverability and aids enhance driver comfort for an optimal driving experience.

Popular, it is currently sold exclusively in the manufacturer's own country. This Japanese electric car offers some interesting features, and may well be available on our market in the future - watch out!

6. Nissan Leaf

With the Nissan Leaf 2023, the brand wanted to position itself in the Japanese Japanese electric car market by offering an attractive price/performance ratio compared with its competitors. 3 versions are available: SV, SV Plus and SL Plus.

The design has been revisited, notably the grille, molding and interior trim, while the rear diffuser and tailgate spoiler have been modified and fitted with 17-inch aluminum wheels. 

As mentioned above, Nissan Leaf 2023 electric comes in 3 models with different characteristics:

  • a 110 kW (147 hp) motor and a 40 kWh battery for the SV version. 
  • a 160 kW (214 hp) motor and 62 kWh battery for the SV Plus and SL Plus versions.  

It's also worth noting the good range offered by the batteries of the 2 cars, 240 and 349 km respectively. 

The electric car's interior has also been revamped, with black fabric for the SV and SV Plus electric models and leather upholstery for the SL Plus electric model.

Prices range from €42,000 (SV model) to €50,000 (SL Plus model), depending on the finishes and customizations chosen by the customer, a fair price for this model's range.
