The Spring's promise is summed up in its price: €16,990 before deduction of the ecological bonus. In other words, the aim of the Dacia Spring is to make electric power accessible to all. With the look of a mini SUV, the Spring measures 3.73m in length, 1.62m in width and 1.52m in height. Finally, its boot has a capacity of 290L of load volume, which can double to 600L once the rear bench seat is folded down. However, you'll have to choose between taking lots of luggage or taking your friends on holiday, as the rear bench seat is unibloc, meaning you can only unfold one seat at a time!
Dacia Spring test drive: Charging
As for recharging the Dacia Spring, it will take 39 minutes to recharge the battery from 10% to 80% at a 30kW rapid charging point. Please note that the standard Spring is equipped only with a type 2 connector, which does not allow fast recharging. To take advantage of fast recharging, you'll need to fit the Dacia Spring with a combo connector, available as a 600€ option.
Recharging at a slow charging station will take longer. Recharging at a 6.6 kW station will take 4 hours 45 minutes to charge the vehicle from 0% to 100%.

Dacia Spring test drive: Technology & Finishes
The interior and finish of the Dacia Spring match its low-cost price tag. Indeed, there are a few shortcomings: the steering wheel can't be adjusted in height or depth, the cabin plastics sound hollow, and the seats can't be lowered. Despite these shortcomings, the interior is much more polished than before, with plenty of storage space at the bottom of the doors and in the glove compartment, which is quite deep. The touchscreen available in the Comfort Plus series will do the trick, adding a touch of modernity to the cabin, albeit sometimes a little unresponsive.
Bluetooth, manual air conditioning, six airbags, four electric windows, speed limiter and automatic emergency braking are standard features on this Dacia Spring. Appreciable equipment for a Dacia.
Inside this Dacia Spring, you'll find those famous hard plastics, which sound hollow and cheap, but that's the price you have to pay for electric cars at such a low price. Despite this, we're used to sober, simple interiors from Dacia: hard plastics, a sober interior and basic buttons adorn the car's interior, which makes do with the bare minimum.
Ot's a shame that only 4 people can fit in the trunk, when a small space between the two rear seats would have been possible. On the other hand, the unibloc folding of the trunk is another regrettable feature. Nevertheless, it increases trunk capacity from 290L to 600L when the seats are folded down.
