This has worked out rather well, as the Hauts-de-France region is one of the best equipped in terms of charging stations per inhabitant, with over 2,200 charging stations deployed throughout the country. More generally, the region is committed to sustainable development, and supplies all its charging stations with green electricity, such as :
- Solar energy
- Wind power
- Geothermal energy
The assistance provided by the region for the acquisition of a clean vehicle is also having an impact. In the first half of 2021 alone, more than 18,753 newelectric and plug-in hybridvehicles were sold in Normandy. And this trend is set to accelerate over time, as more and more manufacturers move into electric vehicles. These include conventional brands such as Peugeot and Volkswagen, as well as luxury brands like Porsche and Rolls-Royce. Rolls-Royce plans to launch its first electric model in 2023, and to be fully electric by 2030, like its British counterpart Bentley.

The Pas-de-Calais has a large number of second homes, which considerably increases the number of visitors to these seaside areas in the high season.
Despite the Pas-de-Calais' charging network, its facilities are not yet sufficient to meet demand during peak periods. The region is faced with a real headache, as the charging points, overloaded in the summer season, are not as popular the rest of the year. The SDEC accuses some motorists of "squatting" excessively at certain charging stations while they're at the beach, thus blocking recharging for other users.

To make life easier for electric car drivers, there are several easy-to-use platforms for finding nearby charging stations.
As a platform, there's the map offered by a recharging service in the Hauts-de-France region: pass pass électrique. By activating the geolocation function on your smartphone, the application will suggest several nearby charging stations.
To find specific terminals, you can filter your search:
- whether or not to show fast-charging stations
- type of plug :
- type 1
- type 2
- type 3
- CCS
- CHAdeMO
There's also the Chargemap platform. This has much the same functionality as the electric pass, with the added benefit of being able to plan your journey, including the charging stations available on your route.
To recharge your electric car, the département has public charging stations in the pass pass électrique network. There are 2 types of charging station available in the area:
- normal charging station: from 3 to 22 kW, capable of recharging your entire electric battery in 2 to 8 hours. What's more, these terminals are equipped with domestic and type 2 sockets.
- fast-charging stations: these stations can recharge your electric vehicle up to 80% in 30 minutes.
In general, each recharging point has at least one parking space reserved for recharging.
Good to know: pass pass electric charging stations can also be used to charge other electric vehicles, such as plug-in hybrids, electric scooters, etc. electric scooters or electric bicycles. Provided these vehicles have a rechargeable battery.
To access these charging stations, follow these steps:
- If you are an occasional user, you can use the charging stations without subscribing to the service. Here are the steps to follow:
- download the pass pass électrique application on your smartphone.
- on the application, select the chosen terminal and click on "Start charging".
- open the terminal and simply connect the cable to your electric car
- If you are a subscriber to the service, the process is the same for recharging your vehicle, as described above.
The only difference is that you'll have a badge with you to start and stop recharging. What's more, with your customer area, you'll have access to your consumption and monthly invoices.
The cost of recharging varies according to the charging station you choose, your profile (subscriber or occasional user) and the period during which you wish to recharge your vehicle.

Good to know: with these electric pass terminals, recharging is sold on the basis of the time spent at the terminal, not the electricity sold. So even if your vehicle is fully recharged and remains connected to the terminal, you'll still be billed. Remember to remove your vehicle from the charging station.
Indeed, the installation of a charging station is highly regulated, not only for the proper operation of the device, but also for the safety of the user.
That's why the intervention of an IRVE (Infrastructure de Recharge de Véhicule Électrique) qualified electrician is essential. Why? According to decree n°2017-26 of January 12, 2017, this indicates that the installation of a charging station with a power rating of more than 3.7 kW requires the intervention of a professional with IRVE qualification. This regulation is applied throughout France.

In addition to ADVENIR assistance, you can benefit from the tax credit. This tax credit, granted by the French government, will enable you to reduce the cost of installing charging stations, whether in your own home or in a condominium.
The credit is equal to €500 per recharging system, at a rate of 75% of the amount spent. It is available to all, with no income restrictions.
Here are the conditions for taking advantage of the tax credit:

The amount of the tax credit for the installation of an electric vehicle charging station is :
