President Emmanuel Macron said he wanted to increase this bonus from €6,000 to €7,000 for the most modest households. One of the only conditions for benefiting from this new ecological bonus in 2023 is to buy or lease an electric car costing less than €47,000. What's more, the French President is keen to encourage the European market by producing more and getting French people to buy more cars made on European soil. The 2023 ecological bonus applied is for families with a reference tax income of less than €14,090. It amounts to €7,000. For households with a higher RFR, the amount of the ecological bonus will be €5,000.

Fiat 500e

The Fiat 500e is a small sedan made in Italy, near Turin, that will let you you'll be able to squeeze in anywhere. This car, in its electric sedanoffers two battery versions. This Fiat electric is a three-door sedan. It offers a maximum power output of 70 kW, corresponding to 95 hp. If you use this electric car as a city car, your range will be approximately 255 km. For semi-rural driving, your range will be 190 km.

As far as recharging time is concerned, by recharging via a charging station alternating current (11 kW), you'll need 2 hours and 30 minutes for a full battery. If you connect to a DC charging station (50 kW), you'll need 24 minutes to recharge your battery from 10% to 80%..

The current list price is €29,400. The 42 kWh battery version has a list price of €32,900. So you're still perfectly within the criteria for the 2023 ecological bonus!

Peugeot e-208

Increasingly built in Spain, the Peugeot e-208 is considered one of the "new generation" of electric cars. The model bears a strong resemblance to the combustion-powered car, but the Peugeot electric manufacturer has based this car on the e-CMP platform, allowing the vehicle to be 100% electric.

Under the hood we find a 50 kWh battery and a 100 kW electric motor (equivalent to 136 hp). A electric city car that's sure to deliver plenty of power especially if you switch your driving mode to sport. Its range will be 362 km in mixed driving with good weather conditions.

Let's talk about recharging time. On 7.4 kW AC, you'll need 7 hours and 15 minutes to fully recharge your battery from 0%. On direct current, recharge time will be 26 minutes to go from 10% to 80%..

About its price, this electric car is priced at €32,600excluding environmental bonus. How can you refuse a high-performance, sporty car at such a price?

Renault Megane e-Tech

Let's move on to one of the Renault brand's iconic cars, but in its electric version, the Renault Megane e-Tech. With the revival of the French automotive French automotive marketthe Renault Megane e-Tech topped the sales charts for two consecutive months (July and August) with a total of 3,500 cars registered over these two months. Opel Corsa-e

Let's continue with a German electric car, theOpel Corsa-e, the first electric car "made in Europe".. It is part of the production line at the PSA plant in Zaragoza, Spain. Cupra Born

The Cupra Bornthe very first electric car from the Cupra brand, is manufactured in Germany at the Zwickau plant in Germany, alongside the electric compact, Volkswagen ID.3. It adopts a sporty, aggressive look with attractive curves.. It has been designed to be 100% electric and to optimize interior space, particularly with its very short hood. It also features two instrument panels, one of which is an infotainment system.

In terms of powertrain, the Cupra Born is equipped with a 58 kWh battery and a 150 kW motor, equivalent to 204 hp. Take advantage of its long range, covering almost 426 km on a fully charged battery. You can even even extend this range to 580 km if you're driving in the cityat average temperatures. Different versions of this Cupra electric which will enable you to increase your battery capacity, your engine power and consequently your range.

  • 58 kWh battery: 150 kW power and 426 km range
  • 58 kWh battery: 204 kW power and 421 km range
  • 77 kWh battery: 170 kW power and 550 km range

What about recharging? For an accelerated charge, i.e. on an AC charging station, it will take 6 hours and 15 minutes on 11 kW power, for your battery to be fully charged. With rapid charging on DC current, 120 kW, it will take 30 minutes to recharge from 10% to 80%.

Currently without the 2023 ecological bonus, this electric car has a list price of €44,500. The model with a 77 kWh battery is priced at €46,500. So you can take advantage of a larger battery and still stay under the €47,000 mark.

Volvo XC40 Recharge

Let's talk about this magnificent electric SUV a real guarantee of quality, but at a reasonable price. Volvo Electric has decided to build the Volvo XC40 Recharge in Ghent, Belgium. If you're looking for a small SUV, this one's a perfect match. Although it's a compact SUV, it still offers good interior space and will be very easy to handle. Volvo has announced a new design for 2023 that will change only a few details, and features a new, sumptuous sage-green color. Inside, the seats are made of fabric and the lower part of the vehicle is upholstered in recycled materials. Volvo promotes responsible luxury and makes its SUV even more eco-friendly.

The Pure Electric version has a 68 kWh battery, while the Twin Pure Electric version has a 75 kWh battery. Volvo's entry-level version is powered by a 170 kW engine, equivalent to 231 hp. Range is more than satisfactory, 425 km on averageallowing you to travel with peace of mind without worrying too much about finding frequent charging points.

One of the most important things to know is recharging time. This electric SUV needs 7 hours and 15 minutes to be recharged to 100%, on an AC recharging station, with a power of 11 kW. On a DC charging station, it will need just 31 minutes to be recharged from 10% to 80%, with a charging power of 133 kW.

Once again, the price will not exceed €47,000. The Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric is priced at €43,950, list price. You can therefore afford this electric car for 36,950 after deduction of the 2023 environmental bonus. You may also be eligible for other grants and subsidies, depending on your region.

Kangoo van e-tech

A small bonus for this presentation of several cars under the €47,000 price tag, the Kangoo Van e-Tech. Perfect if you need to transport equipment in your daily life, the Kangoo is one of the iconic electric vans and is now available in a 100% electric version. It is also built in a French factory in Maubeuge. However, this is simply an adaptation of the internal combustion engine into an electric one, and has not been redesigned for electric use. By the way, we still have the fuel filler flap on the side of the car, but don't worry, it's locked. Your charging socket will therefore be at the front, behind the Renault electric. This Kangoo offers you trunk volume of 3.3 m³, rising to 3.9 m³ when if you fold down the passenger seat.

About the performance of this electric vehicle. It has a 45 kWh battery and a 90 kW electric motor, equivalent to 120 horsepower. It's equipped with multiple torques, so even when you're charging your vehicle, you won't have to worry about power. As far as range is concerned, this electric utility vehicle can offer up to 300 km of autonomy, although this may decrease depending on the weight you put in your trunk.

As for recharging, at a 22 kW fast-charge station, you'll need 2 hours and 15 minutes to recharge to 100%. On an 80 kW fast-charge station, you'll need 30 minutes to recharge from 10% to 80%.

Its list price is €33,600 without deducting the 2023 ecological bonus of €4,000.
