TOP 6: Which is the fastest electric car?

Rimac C_Two

Often perceived as incompatible, today electric cars and performance go hand in hand. In fact, technological advances are enabling automakers to exploit the full potential of electric batteries in terms of performance andrange.

Today, the fast electric car is no longer a myth. Formula E has even demonstrated that the electric motor has a future in motor racing, and is now within your reach thanks to manufacturers such as Tesla, Porsche and Jaguar. Many manufacturers have electric models capable of reaching 100 km/h in under 5 seconds, and even in just 2 seconds for the fastest.

Fast electric car

Torque, acceleration and of course speed are the main criteria when looking for a fast car. The electric car certainly meets this criterion. With a single-gear gearbox, the electric car is fast and extremely responsive from start-up, delivering maximum torque much more immediately. What's more, some electric family sedans even rival combustion-powered vehicles. Indeed, the Tesla S for example, develops over 700 hp, while a Porsche 911 Turbo S develops just 560 hp.

In this way, the electric car is helping to establish vehicles and electric SuperCars. In the context of the current energy transition, it was more than necessary for automakers to ensure the future of mobility by adapting the electric car to the different expectations of motorists. Indeed, with the end of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles set for 2035, as well as increasingly stringent regulations for combustion-powered cars, the electric car is becoming an obvious choice. The electric car is becoming a matter of course, and will guarantee the presence of sporty electric car in the automotive market.

Why buy an electric vehicle?

First and foremost, the electric car is a response to environmental issues, and inevitably to the need to reduce CO2 emissions. However, this is not the only advantage of the electric car. In fact, the electric car also provides a solution to other problems that motorists may encounter:
