To meet the strong demand for electric vehicles in France, the Hauts-de-France region is gradually increasing the number of charging points. While the government's objective is to reach 100,000 charging points open to the public in 2022, the latest Statistabarometer has counted 82,107 charging points in France in 2022. This figure falls short of the target, but shows a major acceleration in the installation of recharging points.
For the Hauts-de-France region, Avere-France found 4,884 charging points for over 5 million inhabitants in March 2022. This represents a low figure for a large number of users to recharge their electric cars. To counter this figure, the region is continuing to set up charging stations. Let's see how things are going in Lille.
While demand for charging stations continues to grow, the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) is committed to the energy transition by speeding up the installation of charging stations.
Moreover, within the next 4 years, the metropolis aims to "increase the number of charging points currently available in the area from 400 to over 4,000", according to Damien Castelain, President of MEL.
To achieve this objective, a Territorial Climate Air Energy Plan has been drawn up. This plan presents a program of actions from 2021 to 2026. Many actions are underway, but as far as charging stations are concerned, the metropolis has installed 50 charging stations in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.
Targets | Rate of assistance | Maximum amount per recharging point |
Company and public entity: private parking lot | 20 % | 600 € |
Targets | Charging power | Rate of assistance | Maximum premium per recharging point |
| Between 3.7 and 11 kW AC | 60 % | 2,100 excl. tax or €2,400 excl. tax |

| Between 20 and 40 kW DC | 60 % | 5,500 EXCL. TAX |

The good news is that the ADVENIR program has been extended until 2025, with additional resources.
Our installers have been chosen for their qualifications and experience, and all have IRVE certification (Infrastructure de Recharge pour Véhicule Électrique) certification.
This certification not only ensures a superior level of expertise, but is also a prerequisite for obtaining the ADVENIR bonus (find out more).
